Este año, por invitación de las autoridades marroquíes, y en colaboración con el Ministerio de Equipamiento y Agua del Reino de Marruecos, la Red Internacional de Organismos de Cuenca (RIOC) y el Consejo Mundial del Agua (CMA), la 3ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Agua y Clima (CIAC 3) celebro los días 6 y 7 de julio de 2023 en Fez, Marruecos.

Con el tema principal “La gestión por cuenca, clave para la adaptación y la consecución de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible”, esta 3ª edición de la CIEC asegurará el vínculo entre la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Agua (22-24 de marzo de 2023) y la COP28 sobre el clima (30 de noviembre - 12 de diciembre). Representantes estatales, agencias de la ONU, organizaciones internacionales, donantes bilaterales y multilaterales, organismos de cuenca (nacionales y transfronterizos), autoridades regionales y locales y otras partes interesadas en la gestión de cuencas están invitados a participar en el evento y compartir sus experiencias a través de las diversas sesiones siguientes.
