"Wetland and Lake Restoration and Climate Change" are the topics of the 15th Living Lakes Conference. This also gives us the opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the international Living Lakes Network together with you.

The conference will take place from 7th to 9th May 2019 in Valencia, Spain. Ecological, economic and social dimensions of lake and wetland management (e.g. successes and challenges for lake protection on global level, business and lake biodiversity, payment for ecosystem services as well as resilience of water ecosystems against impacts of climate change) will be discussed during the conference.

High-ranking experts, various nature conservation organisations from all over the world as well as the Spanish Ministry of the Environment and Spanish representatives of water authorities, municipalities and universities expressed their strong wish to actively participate in the conference. We are very pleased that representatives of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation as well as the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) are enriching the upcoming event with a presentation.
